Participants from industry and academia attended ICPE 2016 in Delft, the Netherlands. One best research paper and one best industry paper were awarded.
Over 120 participants from industry and academia attended the 7th ACM/SPEC International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE 2016) in Delft, the Netherlands. The technical program included 16 full research papers, 3 short papers, 7 industrial papers, and 6 work-in-progress & vision papers, selected from a total of 87 submissions. The conference also featured 3 keynotes, 10 poster/demo presentations, a doctoral symposium, and 4 tutorials.
As usual, the best research and industry papers were awarded. Like last year, the best paper candidates were announced in the technical program online and the respective authors presented their work in dedicated slots. For the first time, the quality of the presentation was taken into account, while the committee formed by the program co-chairs and the general co-chairs selected the winners. The authors of the best papers include members of SPEC RG. They are:
- Best Research paper: Weikun Wang, Giuliano Casale, Ajay Kattepur and Manoj Nambiar. "Maximum likelihood estimation of closed queueing network demands from queue length data." DOI: 10.1145/2851553.2851565.
- Best Industry paper: Michael Steindorfer and Jurgen Vinju. "Performance modeling of maximal sharing." DOI: 10.1145/2851553.2851566.
